US BioForce

United States Bio Force  is ninth branch of Uniformed Services and the and the world’s first and currently only independent bio defense  force. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was merged in Bioforce.

Mission:

  • Monitoring Global Biologic threats including   viruses
  • Maintenance of  biologic safety of US citizens.
  • Eradication of deadly  and infectious diseases
  • Increase the life expectancy of  US citizens
  • Respond the diseases with state of emergency

US Bioforce  is not a usual  public healthcare,  they do not provide usual treatments or hospitals. They fight with cancers and new infectious disease. Also, they are ready to respond to any bio threats.

Article 2 of BioForce act states in order to protect civil liberties,  declaring war against a disease requires the  request of  President of the United States and 2/3  majority of  Senate Vote. Furthermore, Congress should approve the extension of war annually. Any restrictions of individual liberty, require the votes of 2/3 of Senate.

a Future where mRNA therapeutic cured most cancer patients

Scenario: a Future where mRNA therapeutic cured most cancer patients

I wouldn’t say I like Coronavirus. I hate it. It killed many people, damaged the economy, and impacted our lifestyle, but there is one silver lining. Cancer Treatment.
How? Moderna worked for a decade on mRNA, but the massive preparation of vaccine development allows them to accelerate their efforts and fund their studies. Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna may increase the life expectancy of humans in the near future. If governments prepare the resources to fight cancer, similar to Operation Warp Speed, we will have a new world. mRNA treatments may be the new gift of Prometheus. Cancer treatments will become a new source of soft pow

Questions:

How increase in life expectancy will impact the economy?
How increase in life expectancy will impact the family and relationship?

Service Lords: a Scenario for the Future of Ownership

Governments, big companies, and few wealthy families own the whole world, and people can have access to their services. The general cost is low, but most people own nothing; they spend all of their income on service subscriptions.

CLEVER KITCHEN AGENTS

You want your “vitAImix” blender to make a blueberry smoothie–using the trending recipe it downloaded–but because everyone else is trying to make the same recipe, your kitchen can’t cheaply source the local, organic, aeroponically farmed berries that you want. The solution: you orchestrate a tweet about a fake food safety scandal involving blueberries, and the price drops. Your fridge places the order.

The long-hyped internet of things is finally manifesting itself, and as more objects come online–from livestock and crops with sensors to kitchen appliances–the food system will become more efficient and more responsive to demands and external forces like a changing climate. As data proliferates, retailers will use machine learning to automatically change prices in real time and respond to predicted future demand. Appliances, in response, will use their own algorithms to try to get consumers the best deal.

an AI Attack to Free World

On one of the hot days of summer in 2031, a confidential report leaked on social media caused massive protests in the midwest. The report stated that the AI judgment algorithm sentenced 112 black people to life imprisonment wrongly in the past year. Protestors tried to burn the state buildings. Another group attacked the offices of AI Companies in silicon valley. They chanted, ” Burn racist computers.”

The intelligence community believes that Russian state-sponsored hackers shared the report. But who cares? Many innocent people prisoned unfairly. The country is divided, and different ethnic groups are fighting with each other. The whole country is in chaos. People want their dream country, but a young computer scientist thinks protestors and the intelligence community are on the wrong track.

He had developed a special Data Anomaly Detector; he ran the program to scan AI system open data. After one month, He found out that some hackers altered the data and made AI sensitive to certain words. His report surprised the public opinion. It was an AI input attack. Who is behind this attack?

After one year, the intelligence community found that CCP sponsored hackers altered the African American suspect cases to deepen the racial divide. The other goal of the hackers was to undermine the free world institutions. And at the end, the young computer specialist of our story launched his unicorn startup.

Fast Data Analytics

According to IBM, “Fast data (actionable data) is real-time data that typically comes in from streaming — such as through Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and event-driven applications.”

Some expert argue that   the argument is that big isn’t necessarily better when it comes to data, and that businesses don’t use a fraction of the data they have access too. Instead, the idea suggests companies should focus on asking the right questions and making use of the data they have — big or otherwise.

This approach requires:

  • powerful systems for real time analysis
  • Algorithms that detect the differences between noises and emerging  signals
  • New Visualization Techniques

If this trend continue to grow:

  • Fast Data Services
  • Fast Data Neural networks

Question to ask:

Which insignificant events in the past had dramatic impacts on your organization? How fast data could help you on these cases?

Rise of DC

The current war  was the most famous ddebate between Nikola Tesla vs Thomas Edison. We may see the rise of these debates again, because:

  • These days we use more batter enabled devices.
  • Batteries operate with DC power and we consume DC power more and more. We even rent DC power( by renting power banks). The combination of next generation of batteries with and home power plants.
  • DC motors and appliances have higher efficiency and power to size characteristics and push for green economy would facilitate  the rise of DC.
  • Auto Manufacturers like GM and Tesla spends billions of dollars in battery cell plants.

No Book!

Information technology allows us to have access to millions of books, will enable us to read books written in different countries, but can we read all the books? The answer is obvious. For an Iranian person, Shahname is the most popular mythical book. We may refer to Shahname many times. But should an expat in Iran read the whole Shahnameh? I don’t think so.
There are other cases to amplify the benefits of summary in knowledge sharing. I think the blue ocean strategy book provides an essential point of view for every business owner; the book is not too long. The authors present their point of view in 240 pages. But I know many people who use the idea of the blue ocean strategy just by reading the Wikipedia page.

In other words, with the boom of information, we can’t consume whole the information, we may need details of books, but we can’t read all books. Businesses like getAbstract and Blinkist use this gap between demand and supply in information markets.
I suggest that this would be a more significant trend in the future. And there would be a marketplace that credible person, sell single page books. There would be two version of many book:
Single Page and expanded edition

Smart Dust

In the 1990s, a researcher named Kris Pister dreamed up a wild future in which people would sprinkle the Earth with countless tiny sensors, no larger than grains of rice.

it seems its become more relevant these days.

Combination of IoT technology and  Nano Computer manufacturing would make this dream a reality.
